En 2004, el LVIII Salón Nacional de Rosario Museo Castagnino lo premió con una mención del jurado.
Ese mismo año, con la obra realizada para la muestra Onírico y Privado que tuvo lugar en la Fundación Telefónica, el nombre de Ameztoy pasó a formar parte del ABC del arte contemporáneo local.
De entre sus muestras individuales se destacan Los Ultimos Reyes (2006) y El Rey (2005), realizadas en la Galería Braga Menéndez Arte Contemporáneo, en donde predominaron instalaciones de papel tisú enmarcadas dentro de grandes cajas de acrílico; Las Fuentes del Nilo en Galería Cecilia Caballero y Chez Vautier (2011) y Cortar y Pegar en Fundación PROA (2011).
En estas dos últimas Ameztoy presentó sus características capas de papel superpuestas en distintos formatos: enmarcadas y colgantes.
Además, participó del stand Barrio Joven de ArteBA, en 2005 y de la sección Arteprima durante la Feria de Milán, MIART Art Now!, en 2008.
In 2004, he was awarded a jury mention at the 53rd Rosario National Salon at the Castagnino Museum.
That same year, with the work he created for the Onírico y Privado exhibition held at the Telefónica Foundation, Ameztoy’s name became part of the ABCs of local contemporary art.
His solo exhibitions include The Last Kings (2006) and The King (2005), held at the Braga Menéndez Contemporary Art Gallery, where tissue paper installations framed within large acrylic boxes predominated; The Sources of the Nile at the Cecilia Caballero Gallery and Chez Vautier (2011); and Cut and Paste at the PROA Foundation (2011).
In these last two exhibitions, Ameztoy presented his signature superimposed layers of paper in various formats: framed and hanging. He also participated in the Barrio Joven stand at ArteBA in 2005 and in the Arteprima section of the Milan Art Fair, MIART Art Now!, in 2008.
La evolución permanente de su obra, en la que pintura y papel se fusionan para crear instalaciones de alto impacto cromático, lo llevó a participar el pasado año de Pinta New York y a integrar no sólo renombradas colecciones como la del Museum of Latin American Art de Los Ángeles y la del MACRO (Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Rosario) sino también colecciones privadas en Argentina, Brasil, Estados Unidos y Europa.
Desde el año 2003 y hasta la fecha, Ameztoy es profesor adjunto en la cátedra “Taller proyectual de pintura” a cargo de la artista Elsa Soibelman en el Instituto Universitario Nacional de Arte (IUNA) y desde 2010 forma parte del equipo de la Escuela de Proyectos junto a los artistas Augusto Zanella, Sergio Bazán, Andrea Juan y Horacio Zavala que, coordinados por Laura Messing, contribuyen con su talento y experiencia a la formación de nuevos artistas plásticos.
Actualmente vive y trabaja en Buenos Aires y Entre Ríos. Pop-Up Paradises.
The ongoing evolution of his work, in which paint and paper merge to create installations of high chromatic impact, led him to participate in Pinta New York last year and to join not only renowned collections such as those of the Museum of Latin American Art in Los Angeles and the MACRO (Museum of Contemporary Art in Rosario), but also private collections in Argentina, Brazil, the United States, and Europe.
Since 2003, Ameztoy has been an adjunct professor in the «Painting Project Workshop» course taught by artist Elsa Soibelman at the National University Institute of Art (IUNA). Since 2010, he has been part of the School of Projects team, alongside artists Augusto Zanella, Sergio Bazán, Andrea Juan, and Horacio Zavala, who, coordinated by Laura Messing, contribute their talent and experience to the training of emerging visual artists.
He currently lives and works in Buenos Aires and Entre Ríos. Pop-Up Paradises.
